In a disturbing incident in southwestern Balochistan, Pakistan, a couple was reportedly executed by local men over an “illicit” relationship—actions allegedly directed by a tribal elder. The video showed about twelve individuals encircling multiple automobiles. A lady, wearing a shawl, proceeded in front of one of the vehicles as a man trailed behind. She proclaimed, “You must only shoot at me, nothing more,” leading the man to lift a gun and fire two bullets at her, a third causing her to fall. In a subsequent part of the video, their bodies are observed on the ground, bloody and side by side. Authorities later stated that they suspected the video documented a homicide commanded by a community elder because of the couple’s supposed involvement.
